The civilization-critical and human-ecological insights compiled here by Hugo Kükelhaus remain relevant, as evidenced by the widely conducted educational discourse in recent years. Human development is optimally fostered by an environment that ensures a variety of well-measured stimuli. Regardless of whether this world of stimuli is shaped by physical or social conditions and factors, the diversity of the environment is a prerequisite for life.
