This book is aimed at employees in the disability sector. It seeks to provide knowledge, suggestions, and ideas for empowering work with girls and women with "intellectual disabilities." The focus is on "everyday life" - on encounters that are professional, specialized, and always human. We understand this everyday life as a field for learning and practice - for both sides. In the spirit of this book, the empowerment of girls and women with "intellectual disabilities" is directed towards acquiring and gaining competencies for self-determined life design and primary preventive measures against sexualized violence.
