How is journalistic work evolving on the internet? Where do media professionals find support in the race against time and content – and where do they encounter new challenges? Following its initial publication in 2015, this study summarizes for the second time the insights gained from twenty conversations with journalists from various fields: including sports, tech blogs, specialized and special-interest magazines, radio, television, and investigative journalism. All interviews are compiled into individual portraits. Their diverse needs and assessments create a picture of current developments. From this, the editors derive insights and concrete recommendations for action – for media professionals and editorial teams, as well as for communication professionals in companies and organizations.
