Corporate health management (BGM) is still a foreign concept in many companies in Germany. Often, only rudimentary approaches to workplace health promotion can be found. Systemic solutions within the framework of a BGM system are rather rare, and consistently holistic implementations are completely lacking. Despite proven positive cost-benefit effects, the implementation rates for BGM in German companies, and particularly in German hospitals, are disappointing. Often, companies that have opted for the implementation of a BGM fail either beforehand or during the introduction process. This is partly due to a lack of expertise, suboptimal prioritization, and insufficient strategic insight into the development of the company's most important resource: the employees.
