In the field of education and upbringing, educational professionals increasingly have to deal with adolescents who exhibit mental disorders, including so-called personality disorders. These individuals can disrupt peer groups and teams consisting of professionals. They display abnormalities in perception, thinking, and feeling, which means they have unfavorable schemas and states of self-awareness (so-called schema modes). Additionally, they practice destructive manipulation techniques. The present second volume of three, "Understanding Personality Disorders in School, School Social Work, and Youth Welfare," addresses so-called schema pedagogical strategies for dealing with teenagers who (a) are constantly overly suspicious (so-called paranoids), (b) permanently take on the role of the critical loner (schizoids), and (c) always discredit their peers.
