Product details

In light of demographic developments, the increasing number of people in need of care, and the rising costs in the health and care sectors, home care has gained significant importance over the past few decades. Since the early 2000s, there have been political considerations aimed at improving the compatibility of employment and caregiving through more extensive leave options and activating the potential of family caregivers more effectively. Michael Kossens conducts a multidisciplinary analysis of the Care Time Act, which has been in effect since mid-2008, as an (attempted) contribution to reconciling work and care, specifically identifying areas where amendments are needed. In particular, he examines whether the Care Time Act and the Family Care Time Act truly make a significant contribution to better compatibility.
