How can the writing skills of students from disadvantaged educational backgrounds be improved? What steps need to be taken? What should be prioritized, spelling or writing texts? From an analysis of what makes school writing processes so challenging and prone to errors for students, an empirical investigation emerges on how writing competence can be enhanced.
