The serial killer Francis Ackerman Jr. has often helped his brother, government agent Marcus Williams, and his colleagues solve the most gruesome crimes. By now, the agent team of the Shepherd Organization has even grown somewhat fond of the killer. When Shepherd agent Maggie falls into the hands of the notorious serial killer "The Taker," Ackerman immediately sets out to track him down. The search takes him and Marcus deep into the heart of a Native American reservation in New Mexico. To lure The Taker out of hiding and rescue Maggie, Ackerman starts a bloody war—a war that will claim many victims on both sides.
