The American Baptist preacher Martin Luther King (1929-1968) has become an icon of human rights and peace worldwide. His commitment significantly contributed to the abolition of racial segregation in the United States and to questioning the Vietnam War. In 1964, he received the Nobel Peace Prize. He was assassinated on April 4, 1968. Many of his messages remain timeless. His moving speech "I Have a Dream" is part of humanity's legacy. Heinrich W.
