Declines in yield, rising ancillary costs, and increasingly stringent security regulations are posing growing challenges for the air freight industry. Although air freight is still projected to grow at around 6% per year, providers of air freight services are facing steadily increasing costs and new security requirements. This study provides insight into the current market situation of air freight and discusses its potential for development.
