Environmental conditions are improving, medicine is advancing, people are living longer and more actively, and they are also migrating. At the same time, the birth rate is declining, and the population is shrinking. The demographic development of Germany from 1980/89 to around 2050 and the associated problems have long been a topic of discussion in science and research, and they are now becoming increasingly prominent in public awareness with some delay. This leads to a problem of vital importance: the future changes in the labor market and their impact on a company's personnel policy. What can a company do to cope with growth and increasing labor and personnel needs while maintaining the same or a smaller workforce? The author describes which underutilized internal human resources a company has.
