Product details
Purdue University introduced the idea of virtual credit card numbers at the Financial Cryptography conference in 2007. These numbers are generated offline and are restricted by parameters. By using cryptographic hash functions, transaction-dependent virtual credit card numbers are created. The real account of the cardholder remains hidden. This method aims to reduce the extent of fraudulent card usage. The goal of this study is to analyze the presented system while considering security-related and pragmatic aspects.
