She was an unusual woman, this smallholder from Husum: Anneline Petersen, known to everyone as "Stine Mett," self-assured, seemingly fearless, and undoubtedly headstrong. The latter, however, was purely a matter of insight: traffic rules, gender roles, government regulations – they only applied to her if she was convinced of them. Otherwise, they did not. And she always managed to get by. A true original. Yet she was neither a revolutionary nor had she ever had it easy: hard physical labor shaped her life; to keep the farm for her brother who went missing in the war, she gave up marriage and children. But she embraced her role, and more than that, she was a farmer through and through: the dignity of living beings and nature were closer to her than fashions, careers, or current hygiene standards. This deterred many. However, everyone recognized that Stine shaped her actions based on her own considerations and with conviction.
