In the best sense of freedom, the individual should be subjected to the least amount of restrictions. This allows personal motives to drive one's own actions. This is by no means reprehensible, but it ultimately does not change the fact that the individual remains part of a whole and still aligns their actions—whether consciously or unconsciously—exactly with that. In our times, money, power, and influence can be seen as the factors guiding this alignment. However, this makes the individual, and with them society as a whole, predictable and manageable again.
