Prof. Rüter and his team documented the criminal trials in Europe in 63 volumes. With his support and years of meticulous work, the present compendium was created. For the first time, a single volume lists all investigations and court proceedings against Nazi and war criminals from 1945 to 1989 in the Soviet Occupation Zone and in East Germany that involved murder crimes. Both authors have worked as investigators since the 1960s. They are knowledgeable and present a standard work that will be referenced for decades to come.
