This edition is based on the first edition but has been adjusted to the new German spelling to improve readability while preserving the originality of Karl May's work. On their journey from Basra to Shiraz, Kara Ben Nemsi and Hadschi Halef Omar are ambushed. They escape the attack and are asked to help in a feud against the Dschamikun as a gesture of gratitude. However, the Dschamikun are their true friends, and when both fall seriously ill, they are lovingly cared for there. Once they are healthy again, a major horse race between the Dschamikun and a rival tribe is on the horizon.
