"The opposite of diversity is simplicity" (Ilija Trojanow) - this is the conviction of the creators of the event series "Voices of Africa," who, after ten years, are striving to overcome simplicity through the diversity of stories, languages, and styles. They have amplified the voices of our neighboring continent to counteract shameless racism and the unbearable populist calls for isolation. For nothing brings us closer to people than their storytelling. Specifically for this anthology, ten African authors, who were guests at the Allerweltshaus, have written stories: visions of the future from ten countries, utopias and dystopias that convey an impression of the richness of the African literary scene with their diverse subjects and narrative styles.
