Being oriented within a procedure, being able to assess the counterpart, and having knowledge of formal rights not only offers protection but is also a prerequisite for remaining as self-determined as possible in conflict with law enforcement. Therefore, the Practical Handbook compiles not only legal foundations but also practical and tested approaches, such as dealing with law enforcement authorities and surveillance or providing mutual solidarity support. In doing so, the authors do not claim completeness or the authority to define the supposedly 'correct' course of action.
