Product details

One of the most significant actors of the 20th century and a versatile artist was Sir Peter Alexander Baron von Ustinov (1921-2004). Ustinov gained worldwide fame not only as a character actor in countless Hollywood films but also worked as a director, producer, screenwriter, opera director, and playwright. In 1968, Ustinov, a staunch pacifist, was appointed as a special ambassador for the UN children's fund UNICEF. Additionally, he served for many years as chancellor of Durham University in England and received numerous honorary doctorates and awards, including two Oscars. In the later years of his life, he dedicated himself to combating prejudice. In 2003, through his initiative, the Sir Peter Ustinov Institute was established in Vienna to research and combat prejudice. In a conversation with Renata Schmidtkunz, Peter Ustinov reflects on his life and work in a very entertaining manner.
