Little Eagle, a young Native American, wants to join Strong Buffalo's group. However, Strong Buffalo demands various tests of courage. The initial challenges are not too difficult, although they are a bit dangerous. But then Strong Buffalo wants Little Eagle to cross the extremely dangerous wild river, where the children are not allowed to play. What should he do now? Little Eagle confides in the wise medicine man, who advises him to listen to his inner voice to determine whether he should take the test of courage or not.
