The information audit is based on the periodic assessment of the information resources available to the institutions in order to identify the flows and information circulating within their organizational processes, with the aim of understanding the unit and its capacities. At the same time, it allows for the identification of which information sources are present, which are actually utilized, and which incur unnecessary costs, thereby assessing the effectiveness of the information system. This study has a descriptive nature. Theoretical and empirical methods were used to gather information. The result was a proposal for the design of an information audit for the management process of the Empresa Nacional de Productos Agropecuarios in Villa Clara, based on the model proposed by María del Carmen Villardefrancos. In the preliminary inventory, 25 units or information resources were identified within the aforementioned administration.
