Inclusive education is currently being discussed comprehensively and increasingly interdisciplinary. This also takes into account the tensions related to societal exclusion processes. The work builds on this and consolidates educational and sociological perspectives. It particularly highlights the connections, contradictions, and consequences for inclusive efforts in schools and society. In addition to contributions that discuss the normative claim of inclusion against the backdrop of societal developments, structural, pedagogical, and professional aspects of an inclusive school are also addressed.
