If the concrete utopia of an inclusive society is to become a reality in daycare centers, schools, workplaces, living environments, and leisure activities, all educational professionals are called upon to engage with the fundamentals of inclusive pedagogy. This is where the book comes in: it highlights inclusive pedagogy as a foundational element for all educational fields of action and makes it clear that societal inclusion is a cross-cutting task for the educational and social science sub-disciplines of general pedagogy and educational research, andragogy, geragogy, as well as school pedagogy, special education, and social pedagogy. Although inclusion is a widely discussed topic, there is still a lack of practical implementation aimed at including all children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities.
