The Mishnah, completed by 200 CE as the first compilation of rabbinic thought, is divided into six orders, Sedarim, which cover all aspects of human life, including worship, daily and holiday regulations, interpersonal behavior, and the relationship with God. The first order, Zera'im, Seeds, addresses all commandments related to agriculture in Israel and the specific cultic and societal legislation found in the Bible. The second order, Mo'ed, Festival Calendar, presents the Jewish holidays and their customs. In the third order, Nashim, Women, issues concerning men and women, marriage, family, and divorce are regulated. The fourth order, Neziqin, Damages, includes civil and criminal law, among other topics. The fifth order, Qodashim, Holy Things, deals with the Temple and sacrifices.
