Now I can finally report on it. In Christa Wolf's great narrative, the walk along Berlin's grand boulevard leads a woman through her own memories - of a passionate love and the struggle not to lose herself. The painter Harald Metzkes provides new watercolors for this edition, created specifically for it. Christa Wolf's work has been awarded numerous prizes, including the Georg Büchner Prize and the Thomas Mann Prize. Most recently, her major autobiographical novel "City of Angels or The Overcoat of Dr. Freud" was published in 2010.
