It's not that easy to pause. Those who have plenty of time for it don't want to, and those who want to can't find the time, or only rarely. Among the latter is the author, who more often than he would like sees his latest book as a polemic against himself. His readers can expect not a solemn instruction, but rather an incitement, a delightfully wicked bundle of themes and stories that encourage taking less seriously what tries to appear important in our lives, to renounce the delusion that everything must happen immediately and at all times. However, Komarek also sharply and sometimes satirically demands other forms of pausing: a thoughtful interaction with one another, with language, and so on.
