Recent migration and mobility movements present significant challenges for Germany, including the successful integration of individuals with a migration background and refugees into the education system. The various motives for immigration are as important as the associated legal claims for integration. In this report, the Education Action Council addresses the historical, legal, and economic conditions of immigration and presents statistical data that reflect the current state due to the high dynamics of migration. The psychological situation of the migrants is also analyzed. From early childhood to further education, phase-specific data and facts about individuals with a migration background are presented, and the experiences are applied to the refugee situation.
