The ten contributions in this volume provide an overview of the current state of research in comparative social pedagogy. They address both the status of theoretical discussion and historical research, covering central individual topics such as street children, residential care, and youth work. Additionally, perspectives on the development of social work in Europe, China, and Japan are analyzed, and the concept of comparative social policy as gender policy is developed.
