Gender-based violence occurs every day, completely independent of origin, education, or income. Research on experiences of violence shows that particularly vulnerable groups are structurally excluded from protection and assistance. It also demonstrates that conditions that create a susceptibility to harm and enable violent actions can themselves be understood as violence. This anthology, based on current research findings and engagement with queer-feminist theories, explores how the vulnerability of marginalized individuals and the exclusions they face can be made visible, and what can be done to provide these groups with discrimination-free protection.
