Addiction research has primarily focused on substance-related dependencies until now. Today, however, there is an increasing focus on non-substance-related addictions, such as internet, sex, shopping, or work addiction. The high number of affected individuals contrasts with a lack of awareness and scientific discussion. This book discusses the current state of research as well as experiences with non-substance-related addictions.
