Investments have a far-reaching impact on the generation of results. Therefore, a comprehensive planning and execution of investments within an integrative framework is particularly helpful for achieving efficiency. Using the SAP application system, the individual steps of investment management will be presented. A continuous case study, starting with the investment application phase and ending with the investment activation phase, accompanies the investment management process. All steps for setting up (customizing) and implementing (master and transaction data) investment management under SAP are demonstrated and illustrated with the case example.
