The former Munich commissioner Max Raintaler stumbles over the legs of a dead woman lying on the ground on his way home from a Greek restaurant in Untergiesing. She has apparently been stabbed. Max calls his old friend at the criminal police for help. The next morning, he wakes up in a jail cell and has no idea how he got there. Once back on the streets, Max begins the investigation, which leads him into the highest circles of the city.
