There are children who, in moments of overwhelm, cannot control their emotions and only respond with aggression. Not only does their environment suffer from this, but most of all, they themselves do. This book aims to help affected children and their parents better cope with strong emotions. For a child, it can be very relieving if they are not labeled as entirely aggressive, but rather seen as having a part of them that overreacts. Imagining this part as an independent being that can be engaged with is extremely helpful. Children find this easy to do. It helps them discover the positive intention behind their aggression and recognize how they can achieve this with fewer negative side effects.
