The fog that settled over Istanbul's time, harboring both life and death, was beautiful. Beneath the ancient streets of Istanbul, four prisoners sit in a cell - a student, a doctor, a barber, and an old man - waiting to be taken one by one by the guards for interrogation. To distract themselves, they tell each other stories. Stories from their city, stories full of love and humor. Stories meant to help them transcend the limitations of space and time and make suffering more bearable. Through parables and riddles, they provoke each other to think and laugh.
