Normally, the Special Department is not interested in corpses floating in the Thames, but when the body of a young woman with an impeccable background is discovered, it suddenly piques their interest. So much so that they reach out to the legendary M, the head of the Secret Service. M then sends James Bond on the case, as there seems to be some connection between him and the deceased woman. Soon, Bond finds himself in an unusual mix of intrigue and chaos, with a strange yet deadly quasi-religious cult playing a role.
