Out of school - into life! This call for a change of learning environment has now also reached religious education. This compendium provides fundamental information about the intentions and concerns of a didactics for extracurricular religious learning locations. Selected examples illustrate the connection to school learning and competency areas as well as to religious learning. Didactic and methodological notes are tailored to the various school levels. Interdisciplinary suggestions promote a cooperative exploration of learning locations such as train stations, forests, marketplaces, and others. The conclusion "Learning locations can be found everywhere!" encourages educators from primary school to upper secondary level to discover new extracurricular religious learning places together with their students through unconventional learning paths.
