Tobias Zielony's current photo series began with a chance encounter: a spontaneous conversation with a young couple in the Berlin subway and Zielony's suggestion to photograph them. At the next subway station, a few quick photos are taken on the platform. "I’m always here," she says, "he can come back for more shots." "Here?" - "To the street corner, just around the corner!" So they arrange to meet, and Zielony first portrays her, later her colleagues and friends. This leads to the creation of the 40-part photo series "Jenny Jenny." It is not a documentation. Tobias Zielony subverts the journalistic longing for clarity and certainty, as the question of the subject's authenticity seems as crucial to him as the question of the documentary image's objectivity: both are never free from staging. The book is published on the occasion of the exhibition.
