Many Christians are aware of the necessity and beauty of contemplative prayer and sincerely long for it. However, few remain faithful to this prayer, aside from tentative attempts that are soon abandoned, and even fewer are convinced and satisfied with their practice. An atmosphere of discouragement and timidity surrounds contemplation in the church. This work aims to discuss the depth and glory of this form of prayer from a comprehensive view of Christian revelation, to awaken joy in it, and to strengthen the sense of its necessity and indispensability in Christian life, especially in today's world.
