Joachim, a perfectly reasonable young man of thirty, falls into the clutches of Josefine, a rather domineering old lady with a glamorous past and outrageous views. Justice!"), creativity ("an unbearable mania!"), or cultural promotion ("yet another twisted idea from the nineteenth century").
