The "Zeitschrift für Kultur- und Kollektivwissenschaft" is a forum that aims to develop a collective science on the basis of cultural studies. This new discipline focuses on the collective as a carrier of culture and thus serves practical cultural research on the one hand and provides new insights into the nature of the social on the other. The broad concept of the collective replaces traditional group and social concepts and makes previously hidden layers of human communality accessible. Under the motto "Rethinking collectives - new collectives", the anniversary issue 10/1 is dedicated to forms of modern collectivity, applied to both classic and new collectives. The articles from various disciplines deal with the phenomenon from a philosophical, network, practice or systems theory perspective. They explore human categories, serial collectivity, artistic and digital collectives, climate activism as well as small groups and school classes. With the help of non-European concepts of collectivity, they work on new perspectives, but also reflect on the linguistic structure of collectivity using the "system of personal pronouns".
