Bernd-Lutz Lange and Andrea Lorz embark on a quest to explore locations in Leipzig that are intertwined with Jewish history, religion, art, and culture. Some of these places did not escape destruction by the Nazis; at these historically significant sites, we encounter memorials. The authors recall the contributions of Jewish individuals from Leipzig who were of great importance to the social, scientific, economic, and cultural life of the city. Furthermore, we also engage with the current life of the Jewish community.
