Product details
A story about losing, searching, and finding, about the connection between humans and animals, earth and sky, life and death, about transformation and new beginnings, in short: about the entirety of life. "Jugra Goes" is a retelling of the Siberian fairy tale "The Mos-Woman." It originates from the storytelling heritage of the Khanty - an Ostyak people who lived and still live in many small groups along the western Siberian Ob River and its tributaries. In many ways, this fairy tale is foreign to us. It would be more accurate to call it a myth rather than a fairy tale: it tells - as is typical for myths - more about the great interconnections of the world than about coping with one's own small life. Nevertheless, despite its otherness, this ancient story (whose roots likely reach back to the Paleolithic era!) still touches us today. For it speaks of fundamental experiences that are familiar to all people.
