In Möwenweg, the summer holidays are coming to an end. Tara, her brothers Petja and Maus, along with all the neighborhood kids, are having a great time one last time. They have a water fight, go to the fair, and celebrate a fantastic summer holiday farewell barbecue with the adults. Tara prefers not to reveal that she is actually looking forward to school. Back in school, Tara's class participates in a sponsored walk and raises a lot of money. The children even make it into the newspaper! In autumn, they go lantern walking, and Tara finally celebrates her ninth birthday. Mom, Dad, Petja, and Maus prepare many lovely surprises for her in the morning. Grandpa Kleefeld has one ready too. And while dressing up and playing spooky hide-and-seek, she has a lot of fun with her guests.
