At the same time, it can be observed that in almost every family of origin, the parents had to cope with horrific experiences of war. Individuals who have faced traumatic experiences with significant caregivers in their childhood often carry deep relational wounds. Abuse, neglect, mistreatment, death, loss, severe illnesses, psychological violence, poverty, or mental disorders of the parents lead to a variety of emotional problems. The wounds of childhood manifest in the couple's relationship through arguments, dramas, and sexual conflicts. There are hardly any guidelines for treating traumatized couples, nor is there literature on the topic of couples and trauma. Thus, this book breaks new ground.
