On their way to the planet Karbones, Dig and Dag recount the misfortunes of the brilliant inventor Denis Papin, whom they had assisted in his experiments. Upon landing on Karbones, they encounter strange creatures amidst dense primeval forests of ferns and horsetails, and experience incredible adventures.
