Product details
Micha Brumlik interprets the depth psychology of C.G. Jung (1875-1961) as a romantic theory of the unconscious, making its philosophical connections visible and examining its origins in belief in spirits. Since Jung distinguishes between a linguistically constituted way of thinking and an imagistic, symbolic way of thinking, his theory of archetypes holds particular significance. In this revised version of the introduction, Brumlik presents it through figures from Richard Wagner's music dramas. The attempt to provide a sociobiological and structuralist interpretation of the theory of archetypes is further deepened.
