In North Rhine-Westphalia, legal education is primarily governed by the Legal Education Act (JAG NRW). This act has been amended several times in recent years. These changes addressed issues such as part-time preparatory service and the focus areas in university education. The compact commentary addresses these new regulations, while also covering the established dogmatics of legal education in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is aimed at practitioners in courts, examination offices, and universities, as well as trainees and all interested legal circles, providing an overview of the most important legal issues in this field. Additionally, the provisions of the regulation on the granting of a monthly maintenance allowance to legal trainees and the Legal Education Fees Regulation are explained. The appendix includes the Second Law Amending the Legal Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia from November 9, 2021, and a detailed index completes the work.
