The textbook aims to enable a theoretically reflected business planning. It is targeted at current and future leaders in social work and social economy. Organizations and companies in social work and social economy face complex challenges in their self-empowerment. Organizational action is decision-making that involves a constant weighing of uncertain means-end relationships. Decision-making risks becoming merely a reactive form of adaptation. Concepts are needed that systematically address development topics and attempt to develop normative and strategic evaluations specific to the organization. Thus, it is more about the future than the present.
