The anthology presents conceptual considerations and practical experiences regarding social education work with young refugees from various perspectives, emphasizing the necessary dialogue among all involved actors from politics, administration, and youth services. Never before have so many children and adolescents fled to Germany alone. Providing them with appropriate care and support poses a significant challenge. It requires the collaboration of various stakeholders from politics, administration, and youth services. Highly burdened unaccompanied minor refugees need a stable environment where they can leave behind the traumas they have experienced. Complex issues regarding initial, stabilizing accommodation, potential schooling and training, educational concepts, as well as questions related to mental and physical health must be addressed anew and comprehensively.
