In the context of the spatial turn, the concept of space has gained significant momentum in cultural studies. It can be observed that in the reflection on different space concepts - from the home to territory and the abstract representation space - the aspect of the interspace as a material or imaginary boundary plays a crucial role: whether it is the domestic threshold or the threshold ritual; whether it is the blank space or the postcolonial space in between; whether it is the paratextual zone intermediaire or the associative or iconographic interspace. Starting from the thesis that spatiality is performatively constituted through movements in space and that different spaces are thus defined by interspaces, the question arises of how moving in space differs from moving in interspace. How does one move in the in-between? Are there specific ways to do so?.
